Hello Matkins

Well this is the innovation network, but I'm not sure how to handle this particular innovation. I recognise that there is huge ignorance across the world about conditions in Africa, and that for most people on the Internet, out experience of Nigeria in particular has been 100% bad.

Moreover, the record of governance in African countries is poor.

Now I realise we are talking about 50 or more separate states, and it's far too easy to generalise and come up with a negative answer.

I think there is some good work going on, but only a few people in the USA, in particular know about it.

I've been a watching member of the Kabissa Organisation for 3-4 years.

If I was going to donate money for African Causes I'm likely to do so via one of the Local NZ Charities, or via Kabissa.

Donate:
"Find out how you can use this power for positive change. By supporting Kabissa financially, you're sustaining all the thousands of members who are working hard in and for Africa."

See the Kabissa organisations around the world here.

I do believe Matkins, that you can achieve quite a lot on Ryze, but probably not on this network, and probably NOT by requesting funds.

There are plenty of networks on Ryze where conditions in Africa would be openly discussed. I'm sure many people are interested. What you need to do in Nigeria Matkins is develop links to organisations that Americans already know about which are working in your area. Kabissa might be a start. Tell us what those organisations are achieving and how they could do even better.

This isn't the response you might have been hoping for Matkins, but I think I've pointed the way to a slightly open door.

What do others think?
